Event Ranking

One of our core capabilities is ranking events based on their estimated impact, so you can filter out the noise and focus on events that matter.

PHQ Rank

The potential impact of an event.

What is it?

Our PHQ Rank is a numeric value between 0-100 to provide you a simple way to quantitatively compare events based on their estimated impact.

HIERARCHICAL SCHEMA

  • 0-20 = Minor
  • 21-40 = Moderate
  • 41-60 = Important
  • 61-80 = Significant
  • 81-100 = Major

Why use it?

It gives you a way to identify the potential impact an event may have on your business when compared to another event.

Example

  • A large Adele concert vs. a smaller UB40 concert
  • The Adele concert has major impact and is ranked 85
  • The UB40 concert has less impact and is ranked 45
  • Adele's concert is more relevant to you because it is more likely to impact your business.

How can I use it?

You can filter and sort on PHQ Rank using our API.

E.g. ?rank_level=4,5&sort=rank

You can also filter on PHQ Rank in the Web App.

Every single event has a PHQ Rank and it can be used in conjunction with other filters to retrieve events that are most relevant to your business.

Local Rank

The potential impact of an event on its surrounding area.

What is it?

Local Rank is a numeric value between 0-100 to provide you a simple way to quantitatively compare events based on the impact they are estimated to have on their local area.

HIERARCHICAL SCHEMA

  • 0-20 = Minor
  • 21-40 = Moderate
  • 41-60 = Important
  • 61-80 = Significant
  • 81-100 = Major

Why use it?

If you're wanting to know what the likely impact of an event is locally i.e. where the event is happening, then our Local Rank will help to give you this indication.

Example

A food festival like Food & Wine Classic is a huge event for Aspen, Colorado. This event has a PHQ Rank of "Significant", but it has a higher Local Rank of "Major" due to the small size of Aspen. If a festival of a similar size was held in a bigger city like Los Angeles, its Local Rank would be lower.
